REGINA3 provides a special report, called the slide number list. You can select this report from the F5=Reports pull-down menu (press F5 on the main screen and select the option "Slide number list").
The purpose of this report is to list the numbers of all slides for each animal which have to be submitted to Fraunhofer ITA for the preparation of a RITA panel session, and to use this list
- to easily collect the necessary slides from your archive
- to document which slides have been shipped to Fraunhofer ITA (make a tick mark in column "sent to ITA")
- to document which slides have been shipped back to your company (re-ship date)
- to document which slides have been kept at Fraunhofer ITA (e.g. for special investigations or further panel meetings).
The slide numbers are taken from the findings you have entered and (new in version 3.10) from the list of optional slide numbers (see chapter 6).
For animals, which belong to the group of 10% randomly selected animals, you have to ship all slides. For animals, which have a systemic tumour, all slides for at least the following set of organs have to be supplied: bone marrow, kidney, liver, lung, lymph nodes, pancreas, spleen, thymus, and uterus (see also chapter 9). For both cases, extra lines are printed in the report, marked as
"*10%*: # of additional slides"
If you have not used the module to enter the slide numbers for such cases into REGINA3, you should write down the number of additionally shipped slides on the printed report.
"*SYS*: # of additional slides", or
"*SYS/10%: # of additional slides"
Please note
- Only if you carefully enter the correct slide numbers together with your findings, REGINA3 can produce such a list, making it easy for you or your technicians to ship the slides to Hannover.
- The slide numbers per animal are sorted alphabetically; sorting is case-sensitive, which means that upper case characters precede lower case characters.
- The optional slides are marked in the list with the "+" character (to the right of the slide number).
- REGINA3 tries to print all data for one animal on the same page and therefore inserts page breaks accordingly.
- You can use the Search Facility if you are looking for a specific word or phrase in your report. Press F2 to open the "search window" and enter your search term. Press then F3 to "execute" your search.
- Besides the search term, you can also define in the search window whether REGINA3 should look for whole words only or just for the character sequence you have typed in and whether the search should be performed case-sensitively or not.
- To repeat your search (once REGINA3 has found the first occurrence of the search term in the text), you can press F3 again.
- If you wish to obtain a hardcopy of your report, select the "Print current report" option from the F5=Print pull-down menu. As a shortcut you can use the key combination Shift+F5 directly. The report is sent to the default printer (see below how to select another printer).
- To select your printer, activate the option "Select printer" from the F5=Print pull-down menu. From the selection box on the left you can select your "printer type", from the selection box on the right the "printer port" (i.e. the port to which the printer is connected). Use the Tab key to change between the two selection boxes. Once you have made your selection, press F10.
- If your printer type is not listed, try one of the "HP LaserJet II/III" options, since most laser printers are able to understand the HP LaserJet command set.
- If you want to use the report later in your word processor, select "Generic" as printer type and "File" as printer port. When you activate the print command, you will be prompted for a file name (optional with drive and path) in which the report should be stored. You can also decide to append your report to an already existing file or to create a new one.
