REGINA3 V 3.10
Dealing with slide numbers in REGINA3
1 Overview

REGINA3 provides several facilities to support the user in terms of entering and reporting slide numbers during the data entry session of a study. Since most of the companies use a so-called "Blocking Scheme", the preferred method for REGINA3 is also to "construct" the slide number from the Animal number and a Block number. Starting with REGINA3 version 3.10 the format of the slide number has been extended by adding a short form of the applied staining method to it.

The various modules involved, however, are located in different pull-down menus, since the menu system of REGINA3 was designed by "tasks" rather than by specific topics. For a more easy localization of the related modules, Fig. 1 shows the complete structure of the pull-down menus, accessible from the main screen of REGINA3, where those modules discussed in this document are highlighted.

In the following chapters, a reference to a pull-down menu and a brief explanation on how to activate a specific function are always provided.
